Concert by guitarist Hank Niceley -   Oct. 8th - Friends of The Library

The Friends of the Jefferson City Library cordially invite you to a concert by guitarist Hank Niceley on Saturday, October 8, at 7:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Jefferson City.  Hank is a well-known local musician, poet, and artist who will perform songs of Faith, Fun, and Country for the benefit of the Friends of the Library Building Fund. Admission is free. Donations and pledges will be accepted.

UT's Northeast Tennessee Beef Expo Scheduled for October 13, 2011

A familiar event to Tennessee cattle producers, this year’s annual Northeast Tennessee Beef Expo has been scheduled for October 13 at the University of Tennessee’s AgResearch and Education Center at Greeneville.

The UT AgResearch and Education Center at Greeneville is located off U.S. Highway 70 approximately 5 miles south of Greeneville on East Allens Bridge Road. Fridays - Fall Reading Program at Jefferson City Library

The Jefferson City Public Library invites all children to the Fall Reading Program each Friday from  11am-12pm.


The Dandridge Lions Club

will meet on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at The Point restaurant.

Jefferson County Tomorrow Meeting Sept 26, 2011- 6:30 p.m., New Market Elementary School

features guest speaker, Christi Wigle of C.C.A.H.T. (Christian Coalition Against Human Trafficking). Christi will discuss the goals of C.C.A.H.T. and their vision for our community in which human trafficking CANNOT thrive.  Mr. Harvey Young of Charter Oaks Farm will provide us with an update and new information regarding the status of the proposed Norfolk Southern Intermodal in New Market. 


Hunter Safety Class - October 1st & 8th

Hunter Safety Class will be offered at the Talbott Elementary School on October 1st and October 8th.  Enrollees must attend both classes to qualify.  Class will begin each day at 9:00am and run until approximately 5:00pm.  No pre-registration is required.  Those interested should show up for class on Oct 1 to enroll.  Pencils required.

THE DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES / SAFETY OFFICE of Jefferson County Tn. Will be accepting bids for A back-up generator for the EMA/EMS Ambulance Station located in White Pine, Tn.

• This generator backup is for selected 20-50 AMP circuits for a total of 25 in existing 100AMP panel board.
• Must be 25-30 KW generator.
• Must include diesel fuel day tank.

Bids must be submitted to the Jefferson County Finance Department, P. O. Box 1749, Dandridge, Tn. 37725 in a sealed envelope clearly marked Ambulance Remount Bid. Bids will be accepted until 11:00 am on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011 at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Jefferson County Finance office at 1244 Gay St., Dandridge. Tn. 37725.
